diglib: For those who care ....
The url for the easia diglib has changed to:
http://fluffy.uoregon.edu.easia/ This was mentioned previously. The
easia directory was previously inhabitied by a k-12 magazine called "e-asia."
The e-asia project -- now that we've (finally!) solved the issue of foreign
language text such as Chinese and Japanese -- is going once again to the
fringe by using unicode exclusively for multilingual/vernacular text. What
this means is that we can mix any and all languages (including Klingon) on a
single page. The OEB mandates the use of unicode, and I believe Triple-Eye,
RLIN, and OCLC are also committed to the unicode standard. In short,
unicode is the future (but not the present). Shortly, we will have a book
available that uses unicode in a multilingual format.
