With Ed's permission, I'm forwarding this
to the list. In considering criteria for
digitization, collaboration needs to be on
our radar.

Mark, Carol,
A digital 'heads-up'.
Robert Melnick has mentioned a couple of times that he intends to have
student projects digitized in the future and will provide the capability
for students to do this. Since AAA now receives the landscape architecture
versions (and 'catalogs' them), this will affect the role we play in
collecting and providing access. This project is an opportunity for the
Library to get involved early on potential collaborators.
The dean needs an endorsement from the department chairs, but toward that
end, it might be useful to form a AAASchool/Library group to explore the
prospects.
We can all think about this for now.
Thanks, Ed
