At the March 20th DCC meeting, we took a look at a draft document from J.D. about file naming standards. As a follow up to our discussion, I was asked to convene a sub-group to look at this document and work towards finalizing file name requirements for digital projects.

Duncan, Erin, J.D. and I met last Friday and had a very long and intense discussion about file names. Attached are the minutes from this meeting, as well as the original document distributed to the DCC by J.D. at the March meeting.

These documents should provide a good starting point for the file naming discussion at Monday's DCC meeting.
