Beware inheritance

Inheritance is a powerful concept (you can apply styles to the BODY tag and have them affect everything), but...

• it's often where the bugs are
• in CSS-1, it's a last-place default, and can be overridden by implicit or explicit style rules
• different browsers will inherit differently

Example: given
  BODY {font-family: Comic Sans MS}
Netscape inherits the font family into PRE tags but not tables. MSIE is the opposite.
