Audition Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: When are the auditions?
A: 1st October, 2006

Q: What time do they begin?
A: At 12pm

Q: Where?
A: At the UofO Music School, meet in the lounge

Q: Do I have to schedule a time?
A: Call Breton Agena @ (503) 706-6249 and
we'll schedule a slot for you to tryout

Q: What should I bring?
A: Just you and your voice.

Q: What should I prepare?
A: 60 second excerpt from a
song of your choice so that we
can hear your solo voice.

Q: What if I have trouble picking a song?
A: No problem. Happy Birthday or the
National Anthem will work but are not
necessarily the best choices to show off
your vocal ability.

Q: What about vocal percussion?
A: If you have any experience with vocal
percussion, you may also wish to present
a short and varied demonstration..

Q: Do I need previous experience?
A: No. Whether you sing in the most prestigious
choir in the world or just in your shower,
we want to hear you. We are presently
auditioning for any and all voice parts.

Q: What do you look for in perspective members?
A: Our decision is made, roughly, by
considering musical talent, blending
ability, and a blend of personality.

Q: What is the time commitment if I become a Rock?
A: Approximately six hours a week plus
gigs, and OTR must be your first priority after school.

Q: How will I know if I'm in?
A: After the first audition, we will post
the callbacks on our website.

Q: What if I'm a girl?
A: GREAT! You can become a fan! Check out our premium ladies T shirts! But if
you want to sing, check out our sister group
Divisi.
