Upcoming Events

Next Meeting: Friday, 5/22/09 at 11AM in the Umpqua Room in the EMU. This will be a wrap-up meeting, where we will be discussing the summer and coming year.

Bike Fair: Thursday, 5/21/09 from 10AM to 3PM at the Amphitheater (next to the EMU). Featuring the Ginger Ninjas, a band powered entirely by off-stage bicycles which generate electricity! They also tour entirely by bicycle, unsupported by automobiles. Food, drinks, community groups, bike-friendly businesses, and student groups will be there; so should you!

Lecture: Tuesday, 5/19/09 at 3:30, Brian Ladd, Carroll Visiting Professor of Urban Studies, will give the annual Carroll Lecture on "How Cars Conquered Our Cities" (Gerlinger Lounge, with a reception afterward)

Ride of Silence: Wednesday, 5/20 at 6:30. Meet at the Amphitheater by the EMU

Screening: Friday, 5/22 at 7PM, "Veer"--a movie about bike culture in Portland. $3 for students and GEARs members, $5 for all else.
