Where is Studio B?

Many of Eugene's most fun dancing events happen at a place called Studio B. It can be frustratingly difficult to find. Hopefully this will help make your first visit there a happier one.

Studio B is at 189 W 8th Avenue in downtown Eugene. It's on the north side of 8th, the second door from Charnelton Street. It is recessed from the sidewalk in a little tunnel that passes between the new Theo's Coffee House (right on the corner of 8th and Charnelton) and Brenner's Furniture (in the middle of the block). Enter the door and climb the stairs to a hidden world.

If you're driving, there is a Goodyear tire store at 7th and Charnelton with a parking lot that is usually not in use while dances are happening. You can park there for free, and walk around the corner to Studio B.

If you're taking the bus, get off at Eugene Station downtown, and walk north on Olive to 8th, then turn left. You'll find Studio B on your right before you get to the end of the block, just after you pass Brenner's Furniture. It's only about three blocks to walk from the station.

Among the events at Studio B are a swing dance on Wednesday nights, tango dancing on Thursday nights, and tango lessons and dancing on Sunday afternoons. At other times, it is home to classes in salsa, ballroom, and African dancing, and yoga. The place is well worth finding!
