Workshops and Lindy Exchanges

Once you've gotten a little dance experience, it's great fun to travel to different places and dance with new people. An entire subculture of "dance gypsies" tends to spring up within each style of dance, who think nothing of jumping on a plane to go find some new dancing. Here are some events to get you thinking about going places. • Xanadu Mid-Winter Dance Celebration with West Coast Swing and swing/latin/ballroom dancing, workshops, and contests in Portland, January 30 - February 1, 2004.
• Portland Lindy Exchange 2004 in Oregon, March 5-7, 2004. PorkPie on Saturday at the Sunnyside Grage, and Lily Wilde on Sunday at the Crystal Ballroom!
• Reno Dance Sensation with workshops, dancing, and contests in West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Salsa. March 25-28 in Reno, Nevada.
