About the Center

The Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics invites distinguished scholars
and advocates to the University of Oregon to carry on the tradition of Wayne
Morse. Due to a generous gift from Ed Conklin, a former colleague of Morse,
the university expanded the activities of the Morse Chair Professor by
creating the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics.
The Center is proud to announce that the theme of inquiry for
2009-2011 will
be Climate Ethics and Climate Equity. The two-year inquiry aims to examine overarching ethical issues involved with climate change as well as solutions that focus on equity and environmental justice, both domestically and internationally.
