To apply for admission to the master's program in chemistry or applied physics at the University of Oregon, please complete the steps listed below. The required forms are available for download in Adobe Acrobat pdf format. Please follow the instructions below.
NOTE: This application is not for the PhD program in chemistry or physics. You will find application materials for these programs at the web pages for chemistry and physics.

Deadline for admittance June 2008

Apply by March 15, 2008 for full consideration during the initial review process. Applications may still be accepted until April 15. We will always consider any exceptional individuals for our program. If interested after April 15, please contact Chris Larson about remaining openings.

1. Application Form - Fill out and return the accompanying application form, the candidate's statement and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent on your behalf. Letters of recommendation should be submitted on our official recommendation form and returned directly by your referees.

2. Transcripts - Have official transcripts of all your undergraduate and graduate work (including work at the University of Oregon) sent to the address below.

3. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - For non-native speakers of English, the TOEFL examination with a score of at least 620 is a requirement.

Once accepted into the program, participants must fill out the application to the Graduate School. More information will be made available to students accepted into the program.
