Eligibility:

Students must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents to apply.

Community College students must be enrolled full-time in their home institutions, with plans for full-time enrollment there for the year after their UCORE summer experience. An academic plan for the 2007/08 academic year, signed by the appropriate advisor, should be submitted as part of the UCORE application. (The plan can be a simple listing of the classes that you plan to take for the three terms of the 07/08 school year, that you've gone over with an advisor and has their signature.) If you are not currently working with an advisor, you may contact the UCORE liaison for your campus for their aid and signature.

Students should have completed Math 95 (or its equivalent) by the end of Spring term prior to their UCORE participation.

University of Oregon students wishing to participate in UCORE should have first-year status in a science-related major. They should submit an academic plan signed by an advisor for the year after their UCORE summer experience with other application materials.

Students from diverse backgrounds and/or with limited family college backgrounds are particularly encourage to apply.

 
Application:

 

1. Fill out and submit the online Application Form by March 17, 2008.

2. References: Contact 2 professors, instructors, advisors, or other persons with knowledge of your background direct them to the link below to submit their recommentation. At least one reference should be from a professor/instructor.
