I am originally from Pingelap, but I have been living in Billings, Montana for 19 years. I am a Flight Paramedic on HELP Flight Team at St. Vincent Hospital. Graduate of PICS High, 1970. Hope to visit the islands soon. Hope you can too.Elias H. Elias <eelias@svhhc.org> http://excite - Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at 23:35:29 (PDT) Our site is unfortunately only in swedish - but gives a little view of the 'father' of botany I really like your website. I am a botanist specialized in systematic botany and in leafless orchids in particular. But has also worked with practical matters in the botanical garden at Uppsala univ.for many years. I have traveled a lot in the pacific, 1986/87, to study in the field the leafless orchid genus Taeniophyllum. Now I have leaved the garden to be able to finish my orchid studies. It would be nice to hea if you have any students interested in such matters. With the very best greetings and congratulations for your very nice and informative website / Dr L. Am currently a grad student at the University of San Francisco doing a masters in school administration while working as assistant director of the International student Resource Center at Santa Clara University. It's great to finally find a wonderful source of information which I hope to access in the near future in both my work and educational endeavor. Thanks for keeping this page up. this computer-age stuff. Great page. See y'all later. As a travel writer for Rodale's Scuba Diving magazine, I have had the privilege of
visiting Micronesia three times over the last two years. I must say, in all my travels,
that Micronesia is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, both physically and
culturally. Oh yeah, and the diving is some of the best in the world, too. I taught at Yap High School from 1968 - 1970. I returned for 3 months this past winter
and taught at Micronesian Maritime and Fisheries Academy in Yap. The people are very
special. We are former Peace Corps volunteers in Pohnpei from 1964-66. Loren worked at the Ag
Station in agriculture (worked with Pedro Mendiola); Ruth taught English at MTEC in
Kolonia. We lived in Doleniar and know most of the Panuelos. Maria Pilar Panuelo returned
to Iowa and lived with us. We have hundreds of slides of the islands. Have not returned to
see what has happened in the last 25 years. We knew Kentiner David (on the guest book)
when he was three years old! We're farming in Iowa today. We would love to hear from
anyone who knows the wonderful island of Pohnpei. Our "daughter" Maria is back
on the island with her two daughters. We would also like a URL for Pohnpei. We are former Peace Corps volunteers in Pohnpei from 1964-66. Loren worked at the Ag

assisted the Kosarae public works with road construction and building construction.I
enjoyed my time on the island and made many friends while there. I would like to return to
visit one day. Very informative. Keep up the good work. I will return soon. Mahalo. Hi there, I lived on Pohnpei for two years and my dream is to return to visit my wonderful
friends on the island. I think about them and their beautiful island all the time. Once a
person stays on the island for a period of time he or she will come to realize that the
best part of the island isn't the scuba diving or visiting Nan Madol. The best part of the
island is the people you meet and the friendships you grow. I hope to see you there soon! My name is Kentiner David. I am from the island of Pohnpei. I'm currently working on a
masters degree here at the California State University, Chico. This is a nice site. It is
great to hear the sound of home (Micronesia). I have been away from home for so long, it
is good to find a place that atleast satisfy(partially) this longing for home. Hello and Thanks for sch am informative page. I lived in Pohnpei for 2 years. I was the Counselor at Community College of Micronesia
(CCM) from 1087 to 1988. I loved the experience... It is my hope to return someday and
visit my old friends. I am currently working for the State of Texas as a Rehab ilitation
Counselor. I am a head and spinal injury specialist. I miss all of the good times, trips
to Joy Island... Sunsets from the airport beach-looking at Sohkes (sp?) Rock...fishing on
the reef... If you were there you might remember me as the menwei who ran all over the
island.... Kaselelia! If anyone knows any e-mail addresses for CCM or its staff I would
love to be able to renew some old friendships. This must be an interesting course. Imagine traveling to As PCV I served on Pingelap Atoll for two years. Taught ESL Looking to hear from Pohnpei relatives/friends |
