John Fenn

John Fenn, Adjunct Assistant Professor of English teaching two courses in ethnomusicology, received his Ph.D. in Folklore and Ethnomusicology from Indiana University in 2004, an M.A. in Folklore from Indiana University in 1998, and a B.A. with distinction in Anthropology from University of California-San Diego in 1992.

He is an assistant professor in the music program at Texas A&M, and researcher and pedagogy coordinator for ethnomusicological video for instruction and analysis at Indiana. He was a contributing editor of the Garland Encyclopedia of World Music, 2002, and has several other publications. Fenn's professional affiliations include Society for Ethnomusicology, American Folklore Society, International Association for the Study of Popular Music, and the International Council for Traditional Music.
