The Northwest Indian Language Institute is proud to announce the
Western Symposium on Language Issues (WeSLI):
Linking Theory and Practice
June 17-20, 2010
University of Oregon
Eugene, Oregon, USA
WeSLI will combine the 17th Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium, the 45th International Conference on Salish and Neighboring Languages, the Athabascan/Dene Languages Conference, and the (revived) Hokan-Penutian Languages Conference. It is hoped the co-occurrence of these conferences will allow community members and linguists to come together to share ideas, successes, and problems, leading to a more constructive dialog between everyone involved in language issues.
If you have any thoughts about this conference, in terms of what you'd like to see happen during this week, please send an email to wesli10@gmail.com and let us hear about it!
