I am the Academic Coordinator at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology. My responsibilities include planning the annual summer session program and the fall and spring course offerings. During summer session I teach Bi 458 Marine Birds and Mammals, and during fall quarter, I teach BI 457 Marine Biology: Marine Environmental Issues.

My research interests are diverse, ranging from the ecology of marine birds and mammals to the biological consequences of introduced species. I do not accept graduate students but I often have undergraduates working with me on research projects.

I am the Director of the Center for Ocean Science Education Excellence (COSEE) - Pacific Partnerships and a Principal Investigator of the NSF funded OIMB Graduate Fellows in K -12 Project
