DIVERSITY BUILDING SCHOLARSHIP (DBS)

The DBS recognizes undergraduate, graduate, and law students who enhance the educational experience of all students by being agents of change. These scholarships are an integral part of the university's effort to meet the educational diversity needs of its students. The responsibilities of OMAS to DBS recipients include providing orientation programs for new recipients, monitoring their academic progress, facilitating their graduation, and monitoring the students' community service commitment.

Open to resident and non-resident students, the DBS is a tuition-remission scholarship award ranging from partial tuition to full tuition fees. The amount of each award is determined by the UO Diversity-Building Scholarship Committee. Recipients must meet specific scholarship-renewal requirements to retain their scholarships.
