1/10: Brainstorming for Paper #1

After Chaucer's Pardoner tells the pilgrims exactly how he uses his tale to manipulate gullible victims, he has the audacity to ask them for a donation! Is he serious? Can he possibly think they don't see through his pitch, when he has just told them all about it? Can he have some other motive in making this request? Is he just an idiot? What evidence can you find to support your explanation?
