BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Sean Severe
received his B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) in Economics in 2006 from
Gonzaga University.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Sean intends to specialize in applied macroeconomics and Bayesian econometrics with applications to inflation and monetary policy. He has wider interests in mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector and its effect on optimal monetary policy. He is also interested in economic growth and microfinance.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Sean has independently taught Intermediate Macroeconomics (EC 313) in Winter 2009, Spring 2009, and Winter 2010. He also has taught Principles of Macroeconomics (EC 202) in the Summer terms of 2008 and 2009. He will independently teach Money and Banking (EC 370) in Spring 2010. He has also served as a teaching assistant for principals of microeconomics, intermediate microeconomics, principals of macroeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, industrial organization, and econometrics. Responsibilities have included teaching discussion sections and review sessions, and the grading of homework and examinations.
MISCELLANEOUS
Sean is an active member of the University of Oregon Macro Group, which discusses current macro and growth issues.
