Interstitial Frames
This system wsa used by Kahn for a number of buildings. The most interesting is probably the low-rise laboratory building at the Salk Institute in California. These structures have the advantage of completly "clearing" one entire floor of any vertical structural elements outside of the core. The large frames are used to contain all services. These are not common.
