UO Super Saturday 2010
Super Saturday is a series of academic enrichment classes for advanced learners in grades K-5 starting February 20, 2010.
UO Super Summer 2010
The University of Oregon is celebrating the 30th year of the Super Summer program for high achieving students completing grades K-5. Applications and registrations are due May 21st.
Junior Counselor Leadership Program
For 11-12 grade students (under age 18) who are interested in developing and praciticing leadership skills, the Summer Enrichment Program offers the Junior Counselor (JC) Leadership Program.

Each Scholars class will vary. Individual class schedules will be posted early December 2009.
Program Cost
Assessment Fee: $50 (non-refundable)
Tuition: $13.75/hour
Each class instructional time will vary. Tuition will be based on the full instructional time, not individual times. i.e. Math Scholars Fall 2009: Tuition due - $144.50 for 10.5 instructional hours.

UO Math Scholars:
Student Description -Do you crave tricky math problems? Do you love challenging your mind with cool math games? Do you see math all around you? Join us for this active, fun, challenging class that will have you bending your brain and stretching our mind!
Parent Description -Scholars students learn in an advanced program that builds on existing concepts while simultaneously introducing students to challenging new ideas. Small class size ensures that your child will receive individualized instruction. Two classes will be offered. Qualifying students will be placed in the appropriate class.

UO Literature Scholars:
Student Description –Inquisitive scribes come hither. Do you love to write? Is your inner storyteller ready to burst? Have you started a book? What about poetry? Join us to create an original short story (or stories) you create, revise, and present to the class for inclusion in a class anthology.
Parent Description –The goal is for each student to develop his or her writing skills in the genre of the short story. There will be short, guided activities aimed at expanding vocabulary, working with dialog, and using various types of sentences. As a culminating project, students will be required to revise, edit, and complete one original short story for inclusion in a class anthology. Additional reading and writing at home required.

Computer Programming:
Student Description – If you've ever wanted to learn how to make your own web page, this is your chance! Learn to write HTML, the language used to create documents online using TextEdit. With this programming knowledge create your own website about your favorite topic – such as your pets, friends, family, hobby, etc. – including your own photos. Your website page will be showcased on the UO Youth Enrichment/TAG website.
Parent Description –Scholars students learn HTML programming utilizing TextEdit on Mac computers. Small class size ensures individualized instruction. Students must be willing and able to sit for long periods of time, process verbal and written instructions and follow very specific instructions.

Application and assessment are required. Assessments will be scheduled with students after the receipt, review, and acceptance of the application.

Partial tuition assistance is available for those families that demonstrate financial need.
