Welcome!Welcome to the Dreamweaver II workshop. For this workshop, I assume
that you have the following background:
- You have a basic knowledge of html, such as would be taught in the
Web Publishing I, II, and III workshops.
- You have attended the Dreamweaver I workshop, and therefore are familiar
with some basic concepts relating to the software:
- Aspects of the Dreamweaver interface:
- the document window
- panels, including the site panel
- the property inspector
- code view/design view
- the tag containment hierarchy
- How to use Dreamweaver to perform basic html functions such
as paragraph formatting, adding images, creating links, etc.
- How to use the site panel to upload and download files to a
server.
In today's workshop, we will cover the following topics:
- Creating and using Cascading Style Sheets to format your page
- Using tables to layout a web page
- Using Dreamweaver templates to create pages with a similar design
