Welcome!

Welcome to the Dreamweaver II workshop. For this workshop, I assume that you have the following background:

  • You have a basic knowledge of html, such as would be taught in the Web Publishing I, II, and III workshops.
  • You have attended the Dreamweaver I workshop, and therefore are familiar with some basic concepts relating to the software:
    • Aspects of the Dreamweaver interface:
      • the document window
      • panels, including the site panel
      • the property inspector
      • code view/design view
      • the tag containment hierarchy
    • How to use Dreamweaver to perform basic html functions such as paragraph formatting, adding images, creating links, etc.
    • How to use the site panel to upload and download files to a server.

In today's workshop, we will cover the following topics:

  1. Creating and using Cascading Style Sheets to format your page
  2. Using tables to layout a web page
  3. Using Dreamweaver templates to create pages with a similar design
