An ancient story translated into contemporary language, McLaughlin’s adaptation of Euripides’ drama becomes a powerful journey into the heart of empathy. As the women and children of the defeated City of Troy await their fate, this play explores the beauty of human endurance through the characters’ own indefatigable hope. While the play explores the human cost of war, it demonstrates that relationships with family and community have a tensile strength beyond war, death, or ideology.
