Adapted freely, Shakespeare's HAMLET is re-imagined via the conventions of the Zombie movie. Like Hollywood's cultish B-movie genre, Shakespeare's tragedy feeds from cultural paranoia about collapse of order and hellish retributions - and both focus this paranoia with the ever-popular melodrama of "teen anxiety." OR NOT TO BE 's mix of "low" and "high" sources renders the poetry and philosophy of Shakespeare's most quoted and revered play into something surprising and new again. By taking a bite out of Bardolotry, we aim to bring HAMLET to life as a new entertainment for audiences ready for something different.
