BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Toni Sipic
received his Bachelor's (B.S.) in Economics and Computer Information Systems, as well as a minor in Mathematics, in 2003 from Northland College, and received his Master's (M.S.) in
Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2006.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Sipic specializes in applied microeconomics and econometrics with applications to environmental and international economics.
Sipic has wider interests in urban economics and labor economics.
Current research in environmental economics focuses on analyzing the effects of eco labeling in service industries. Within international economics, Sipic is presently examining the determinants of tourism flows between countries.
Previous research in urban economics analyzed the interdependence of housing prices, marketing time and price concessions.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Sipic is currently teaching EC333 Environmental and Resource Economics, and is scheduled to teach EC420 Introduction to Econometrics during the first Summer 2009 term. He has previously taught EC420 Introduction to Econometrics, at the University of Oregon, during the Summer 2008 term, and EC360 Industrial Organization during the Winter 2009 term. In addition, Sipic
has previously independently taught Principles of Microeconomics (Summer 2005), Principles of Macroeconomics (Summer 2005, Winter 2006) and Principles of Statistics I (Spring 2005, Fall 2005), all at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Sipic has served as a teaching assistant
for Principles of Microeconomics at Northland College (Fall 2002, Fall 2003), University of Nevada, Reno (Fall 2004) and University of Oregon (Spring 2007);
Principles of Macroeconomics at University of Oregon (Fall 2007). Responsibilities have included grading of homework sets and
examinations, as well as teaching discussion sections and review sessions.
Moreover, Sipic has served as a teaching assistant, primarily responsible for grading, for Intermediate Microeconomics (Winter 2007), Intermediate Macroeconomics (Winter 2008), Industrial Organization (Spring 2007, Spring 2008), International Trade (Winter 2008) and Introduction to Econometrics (Spring 2008, Fall 2008) at the University of Oregon. In the future, he looks forward to teaching Econometrics, Environmental Economics and Industrial Organization at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
