Undergraduate Council Members
The Undergraduate Council consists of 16 voting members (including elected faculty, chairs of curriculum and requirements committees, and students). In addition, there are ex officio, non voting members. All elected faculty members serve staggered, 3-year terms, and students serve 1-year terms. Students are selected through the following proceedure:
The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies, on behalf of the ASUO, solicits recommendations for students to serve on the Undergraduate Council. The recommended students are then contacted to determine their interest in such service, and sutdents who wish to be considered are interviewed by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies and a voting member of the Undergraduate Council. The Vice Provost and Council member select students on the basis of recommendations and interviews, and forward their names to the ASUO for final confirmation.
