UNDERGRADUATE COUNCIL MEETING

Statewide Articulation of General Education Courses

 

Karen Sprague distributed two documents to the Council:  1. Proposal for presentation of the initiatives proposed by the Working Group on Excellence in Delivery and Productivity, with diagram, and 2. Proposal for Transferable General Education Core Certificate.   These two documents can be reviewed on the Undergraduate Council website (http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~ucouncil/ ).

 

 

Completion of the Review of 100- and 200-level Group-satisfying Courses

 

The council examined the survey data for syllabi that were distributed on March 4, 2004, and completed its discussion of individual courses.   The review of all of the Group-satisfying courses (excluding math and foreign language) offered in 2002-03 is now complete.  

 

 

Selection of Chair for 2004-05

 

Ron Severson was nominated, seconded and unanimously affirmed as chair for the Undergraduate Council for the 2004-05 academic year.  

 

 

Next Meeting

 

The next meeting of the Undergraduate Council will take place during the first or second week of Fall term.  Council members will be contacted for their availability and confirmation of meeting dates will be distributed via email and posted on the website.
