The coursework above will earn a minimum of 44 credits of the required 45. The remaining credit can be earned by selecting from a number of optional experiences (HPHY 602 Supervised College Teaching, HPHY 609 Prac AT Mentorship), registering for additional HPHY 601 Research for extended projects, or selecting from other available HPHY course offerings (ie: Gait Analysis, Orthopedic Biomechanics, Advanced Techniques in Movement Science, Advanced Labs in Exercise Physiology, Alternative & Complementary Medicine etc.). Many students chose to graduate with more than the required 45 credits.

Exit Requirement:

Option 1: Comprehensive written and oral exams (completed during final term of study),one-term (minimum) research experience, and literature review or evidence based practice manuscript submitted for publication.

Option 2: Original research study conducted, and manuscript submitted for publication.

General Requirements:

  • Graduate students must be registered for a minimum of 9 credits per term and must have successfully completed a minimum of 45 graduate credits to graduate.
  • Graduate students must maintain a 3.00 GPA each term, and will not be eligible to hold a GTF position, take comprehensive exams, or to graduate, without a cumulative GPA of 3.00.
