philosophy at the Drawing from the traditions of American Philosophy, Analytic Philosophy, Continental Philosophy, and Feminist Philosophy, departmental areas of specialization include: Aesthetics, Ethics, History of Philosophy, Knowledge, Rationality and Inquiry, Philosophical Psychology, Environmental Philosophy, and Social and Political Philosophy. Departmental areas of concentration include: Cognition and Language, Critical Theory, Asian Philosophy, Embodiment, Existentialism, Jewish Philosophy, Native American Philosophy, Phenomenology, and Race, Gender, and Sexuality. Faculty and students also participate in University-wide, interdisciplinary programs and research centers, including the Center for the Study of Women in Society, Comparative Literature, Environmental Studies, Ethnic Studies, the Institute for Cognitive and Decision Sciences, Religious Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies Program.
