- 4.2.1 Resolution US 97-6 -- Domestic Partner Benefits.
Resolution that university seek to provide insurance benefits to the
domestic partners and children of university employees in domestic partner relationships.
- 4.3 Parking and transportation alternatives -- Status report from
Senators Paul Engelking and Linda Kintz

- 5.1 Call for nominations for the vice president of the
University Senate
- 5.2 Distribution of senate agenda questionnaire for 1997-1998
- 5.3 Update on committee restructuring report -- Senator Gene Luks
- 5.3.1 Motion US 97-7 -- Intercollegiate Athletics Committee.
Change eligible faculty membership on committee from tenure track only
to all full time officers of instruction.
- 5.3.2 Motion US 97-8 -- Committee on Research. Rename this committee to Committee on Summer Research Awards.
- 5.3.3 Motion US 97-9 -- Academic Standards Committee and
Committee on Academic Advising. Change reporting authority through the
Undergraduate Education Policy Coordinating Council.
