Dear Gwen:

I was chair of PTRAC during academic 2001/2. During this period we dealt with one case. The faculty member involved gave formal notice of intent to file a grievance but ultimately withdrew the grievance without ever filing; I handled all the administrative matters as chair of the committee and thus the committee did not meet formally during academic 2001/2.

Pursuant to your email, I polled the committee via email concerning the selection of a chair for academic 2002/3. Pursuant to emails from Bruce Branchaud, Richard Trombley, and Jean Stockard,I have been elected as chair for academic 2002/3 with the understanding that as I will not be available fall 2002, if the committee has an appeal then, an acting chair will need to be selected.

It is my hope this brief email can serve as the "official" committee report for 2002/3. Let me know if you need a more formal document.
