University President Dave Frohnmayer will hold a brief year-end University Assembly meeting followed immediately by a Town Hall meeting to discuss the budget situation facing the university.

The State of Oregon’s current fiscal difficulties have major implications for higher education and the University of Oregon.  The purpose of the Town Hall meeting is to update the University Community on the status of the budget cutbacks and their potential impact on the University for the upcoming year.

The Town Hall meeting will begin with brief statements from six invited panel members: President Dave Frohnmayer, Provost John Moseley, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Michael Kellman, ASUO Presidents Nilda Brooklyn (outgoing) and Rachel Pilliod (incoming), and UO Senate President Nathan Tublitz.  The presentations will be followed by questions, answers, and comments from the audience.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this important Town Hall and University Assembly meeting.
