The Intercollegiate Athletics Committee (IAC)
The Intercollegiate Athletics Committee (IAC) has 8 elected faculty members
and provides advice and consultation to the director of athletics, the
vice president for administration, and the president concerning any and
all aspects of intercollegiate athletics.
ELIGIBILITY from CAS: Nominees from the College of Arts and Sciences
must be Officers of Instruction, members of the voting faculty, and on
campus during the term of office. No two persons from the same CAS
department may serve on IAC at the same time. The term of office
is two years, from June 16,2001 - June 15, 2003.
ELIGIBILITY from Professional Schools/Colleges: Nominees from
professional schools and colleges must be Officers of Instruction, member
of the voting faculty, and on campus during the term of office. No two
persons from the same professional school or college may serve at the same
time. The term of office is two years, from June 16, 2002 - June
15, 2004.
No faculty member may serve more than 3 consecutive terms.
The Committee on Committees and secretary, with help from the senate,
will fill out the ballot if an insufficient number of nominees is received
by the secretary. The secretary is instructed by faculty legislation to
remove from nomination persons who do not qualify under the rules established
by the faculty.
