Dear Sue:

Upon the advice of the Senate Vice President and acting in my capacity as President of the UO Senate, I am appointing the Director of Financial Aid (or designee) to the SRC for academic 2009/10. Let me suggest that the easiest way to handle matters for the future is ask the Committee on Committees to include this as an action item in their report to the UO Senate at the May 12, 2010 meeting - that avoids the necessity of having a separate motion.

It seems to me that this is the easiest way to settle the matter with the least amount of bureaucratic fuss. I am copying this to Gwen Steigelman, Dave Hubin, and DeAnna Heying and asking them to weigh in if they see any problem with the above and, if not, to have it implemented properly.
