Peter,

Please post as written directly below: Almost all of what John says looks OK, but the 1996 Senate Charter failed to include emeriti in the Assembly. Gwen will tell you that her 2003 announcement was mistaken. Therefore, since 1996, it has not been University policy for emeriti to have a voice in governance, at least not in the Assembly or the Senate. About Departments, I cannot say.
