Allergy/Asthma Clinic

In the spring and early summer the mid-Willamette Valley becomes inundated with pollens. Consequently there are many sufferers who are looking for relief. All medical clinic areas can take care of allergy and asthma problems including the Nurse Specialty Clinic. Nurses at the Nurse Specialty Clinic are able to assess and treat students who are suffering from allergies and write and refill allergy prescriptions.

If you have been given an Rx for allergy medication from the UHC previously, contact your pharmacy for a refill. If you need a new prescription or just want to talk with a nurse about your symptoms, call our clinic at 541 346-2739. We’ll be glad to assist you! Often we are able to address allergy concerns and prescribe medications over the phone.

Students who have been receiving immunotherapy at home may continue getting their allergy injections (immunotherapy) at the UHC. Please bring or have your allergist send your antigens and injection schedule to the NSC clinic.

If you have asthma and experience any exacerbation of the condition, don’t hesitate to call and talk with one of our nurses in the NSC. We are able to evaluate your needs through assessment and pulmonary function testing to provide a link to the best possible care for you!
