Shane Addis

Shane, the Veterans and Family Student Association Co-Director, joined the Marine Corps Reserve when he was a freshman at the University of Oregon. A nine-month tour in Iraq put his college education on hold until his deployment ended, and he returned to Eugene in 2005. The 25-year-old Portland native still serves in the Marine Reserve and is a full-time student at the U of O majoring in Business Administration. Shane, who has acting and set design experience, agreed to participate in Telling because he wanted to share his military experiences with the community.
