Patrice Baker

Patrice has been helping veterans with alcohol and drug problems for the past four years while working for the Veterans Administration. She is currently a substance abuse counselor at Prevention and Recovery Northwest and hopes to continue assisting veterans after graduation from the University of Oregon. A senior, she is majoring in psychology with a concentration in substance abuse prevention. While in high school, the 25-year-old San Diego native followed her brother’s footsteps and joined the Army. Patrice, who acted and danced in high school, hopes Telling will raise the public’s interest in veterans and in their difficulties transitioning to civilian life.
