Subject: RE: Senate Presentation

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the note and for the early work you did on the Council to help gather data and report on grade inflation. I've attached the overheads Mark and I used during yesterday's Senate presentation.

If you could also provide a link for Senators to continue sending feedback on this issue either to Cathy Kraus (ckraus@uoregon.edu) or to me (rseverso@uoregon.edu), I would be much obliged. The Council is interested in gathering as many viewpoints and suggestions as possible.

Thanks,

Ron

Professors Severson and Thoma presented a report to the UO Senate on 10 May 2006 updating the work the Undergraduate Council was doing to study Grade Inflation at the University of Oregon. Further details on their report and on comments made by various senators will be available in the minutes of that meeting presently. Reference is made to the report and to experience at other Universities which was transmitted to the senate at the 12 April 2006 meeting of the UO Senate previously. Appended below are links to the transparencies used during the presentation to the Senate 10 May 2006.
